Manhunt underway for escaped Ohio inmate in Kentucky
MASON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The search continues today for Jerry Cooper, one of two inmates who escaped from the Brown County Detention Center in Ohio.
Authorities say Roy Butler, the second escapee, was captured in Mason County. Cooper, however, remains on the run and was last seen in the Dover area near the Mason-Bracken County line.
According to Kentucky State Police Post 8, Cooper is considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen wearing jail-issued pants with no shirt or shoes. Cooper faces charges including attempted murder and weapons violations.
Anyone who sees Cooper is urged to stay away and call Kentucky State Police immediately at 606-784-4127.
