Coroner identifies man killed in Lexington pedestrian crash on New Circle Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The Fayette County Coroner has identified the man killed in a pedestrian crash on New Circle Road Saturday morning.

According to the coroner, 49-year-old Micah Smith died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the outer loop of East New Circle Road near the Winchester Road exit. The crash happened around 6:15 a.m.

Lexington Police said the driver remained on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
