Suspect in custody following stand-off with deputies
MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Madison County man is in custody after an hours-long standoff with deputies Tuesday.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Joshua Botkin was arrested after a standoff behind a home on Brassfield Road.
Deputies said the incident began after they responded to reports of a man armed with a gun and allegedly making threats in a field near the home. Negotiators worked for hours before Botkin surrendered peacefully.
Investigators said Botkin is facing multiple charges, including arson from a separate incident earlier in the day.
