Golden Alert issued for missing man last seen in Laurel County
LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Golden Alert has been issued in Laurel County for a missing 88-year-old man.
Police say Donald Simons was last seen on August 29 at his home on East Third Street in London. He was wearing a white polo shirt, black jacket, and brown pants.
Simons is described as six feet, six inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. According to police, he has heart problems, dementia, and is currently taking medications.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911.

Golden Alerts are issued in Kentucky when an adult with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or another cognitive impairment is reported missing. The alert helps mobilize law enforcement and the community to locate the person quickly, since they may be vulnerable and in need of medical assistance.
