Powell County man indicted in multiple death investigations due in court

STANTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Powell County man accused in the death of one woman and suspected in the deaths of two others is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Court records show 44-year-old Brian Epperson is set for arraignment after a Powell County grand jury indicted him last week on charges of murder, possession of methamphetamine, and tampering with physical evidence. The indictment stems from the death of 32-year-old Kristen Morris, who was found dead in May from an apparent drug overdose inside an Airbnb in Stanton.

Investigators say Epperson is also a suspect in the death of Reacheal Dawson, who was found in a hotel room at the Red Roof Inn in Winchester on June 27. In addition, Kentucky State Police confirm they are investigating his possible connection to the overdose death of a woman in Lexington in November.

Epperson’s arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday in Powell County Circuit Court.
