Tailgaters embrace the rain for the first UK Game

Solid blue fans were dodging raindrops before the gates opened for the first UK football game of the season.

“We weather every storm for UK,” said Beth Ballard, a UK fan tailgating in the rain.

Some actually saw the rain as a plus.

“I’ll take the rain over 90 degree weather any day,” said UK fan Gabriel Wilburn.

Other UK fans just saw the rain as a small obstacle to kickoff a season of high expectations for the cats.

“I love it! Anything for the cats,” said Jason Atwood.
