Kentucky Blood Center launches first UK campus blood drive of school year

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Students are back at the University of Kentucky, and so is the push to save lives.

The Kentucky Blood Center is hosting its first campus blood drive week of the school year today through Friday, Sept. 5.

Donors can give blood at the Gatton Student Center, William T. Young Library, and the Lewis Honors College.

Each donor will receive a “Stay Wild” T-shirt, a Starbucks gift card, and a chance to win a $200 Amazon gift card.

The Blood Center says donations are especially critical this time of year, as supplies often run low over the summer months.
