Kentucky State Police recruiting for next cadet class
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky is now recruiting its next class of state troopers.
Gov. Andy Beshear and Kentucky State Police announced that applications are open for Cadet Class 107. Starting salaries for new troopers are $69,500.
Cadets will complete 24 weeks of intensive training, which includes criminal investigations, crisis response, high-speed pursuits, and community relations.
Experienced officers can apply through the Law Enforcement Accelerated Program, which provides a faster path into the agency.
Training for Cadet Class 107 begins in May 2026, and applications are due by December 5.
