Vista Street closed to traffic

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Drivers in Lexington will need to plan for a new road closure starting Monday.

City officials say Vista Street will be closed to thru traffic between Rosemont Garden and Picadome Park. That closure comes on top of the existing shutdown of Picadome Park between Lafayette Parkway and Vista Drive.

The closures are part of sanitary sewer construction along Wolf Run Creek, a long-term project that will replace and upgrade more than 4,000 feet of sewer line. Officials say the work is expected to take about a month, with the entire project set to wrap up in 2026.

Neighbors will still have access to their homes. Detours will be posted along Lafayette Parkway, Reed Lane, Pin Oak Drive, and Rosemont Garden.
