Weekend stabbing suspect arrested
WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A man wanted in connection to a stabbing in Clark County is now in custody.
Winchester Police say 37-year-old Jon Southern was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Sunday near the Clark County Health Department on Professional Drive.
Investigators say an arrest warrant had been issued for Southern following a stabbing reported Saturday at Jackson and Jefferson Streets. He is accused of stabbing a 35-year-old man multiple times.
The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Southern is charged with assault. The case remains under investigation.
