Fleming-Neon flood recovery funding announced
FLEMING-NEON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A major investment is coming to Letcher County to help Fleming-Neon recover from the devastating 2022 flood. USDA Rural Development Kentucky State Director Travis T. Burton, along with staff from Congressman Hal Rogers’ office, will announce more than $16.8 million in grants this afternoon.
The funding comes through the USDA’s Disaster Water Grants Program and will be used to repair and replace critical parts of the city’s water system.
