Police investigate early morning shooting on university campus
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Kentucky State University’s campus.
Frankfort Police say they were called just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday to Young Hall, where witnesses reported hearing 15 to 20 gunshots.
Investigators say multiple people in a dark-colored passenger vehicle opened fire on a group walking on campus. Two people were hit—one with minor injuries, the other with serious injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital.
Police say Young Hall and at least one vehicle were damaged in the gunfire.
The suspects and the vehicle remain at large. Frankfort Police are asking anyone with information to call the department. The investigation is ongoing.
