2 taken to hospital, 1 arrested after car crashes into brick wall

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say two people were taken to the hospital Thursday evening after a crash.

Police say an officer was making a traffic stop on Third Street when the officer approached the car on foot and the car drove off. They say the officer didn’t give chase, but found the car had crashed into a brick wall near North Limestone.

Police say the driver was arrested and the two passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver was charged and could face other charges, including assault.
