Vehicle fire at Monticello McDonald’s caused by wiring issue; no injuries reported

MONTICELLO, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Monticello firefighters were called to the McDonald’s parking lot late Wednesday after reports of a vehicle on fire.

The call came in at 10:17 p.m., and crews arrived quickly to find the blaze was caused by a minor electrical wiring issue. Firefighters said no one was injured, and the vehicle sustained only limited damage.

Officials say the incident serves as a reminder to regularly check vehicle electrical systems to help prevent fires.
