KSP investigates deadly UTV crash in Knott County
KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly UTV crash that happened Saturday afternoon in the Talcum community.
Troopers say the accident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Starfire Haul Road. According to the preliminary investigation, 43-year-old Michael Miller of Vest was driving a utility terrain vehicle when he lost control and the UTV overturned. Miller was ejected and died at the scene.
Officials say he was not wearing a seat belt or helmet at the time of the crash.
An autopsy has been scheduled, and toxicology results are pending as the investigation continues.
