State grants available for clean up of illegal dumping
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Counties across Kentucky can now apply for state grants aimed at cleaning up illegal dumps and roadside litter.
The funding comes from the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, which administers two environmental grant programs designed to reduce pollution, safeguard natural resources, and improve the appearance of public roadways. Since 2006, nearly 3,000 illegal dump sites have been cleared through the initiative.
Applications for the 2025 grant cycle are due by Monday, November 3, and must be submitted via email.
