Versailles seeks perfect Christmas tree

VERSAILLES, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — It may be July, but Versailles is already planning ahead for the holiday season.

City officials are on the hunt for the perfect live Christmas tree to display downtown this year. They’re looking for a healthy spruce, fir, or pine that’s about 20 feet tall—full, symmetrical, and ready to shine.

If you have an evergreen that fits the description and can be safely removed, the city says it will take care of cutting it down and prepping the site for removal.
