Fire damages Lexington home, no injuries reported

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Fire crews responded to a structure fire Tuesday afternoon that temporarily shut down a road in a Lexington neighborhood.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, firefighters arrived just after 3:30 p.m. to a home on Quail Run and found smoke coming from the attic.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames, and officials say the scene was brought under control without further incident.

There were no injuries reported, and fire officials confirmed that the residents were safe and allowed to remain in the home.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the fire.
