Judge barrs Brooks Houck from selling assets
BARDSTOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Nelson County judge has barred convicted murderer Brooks Houck from selling any assets after his 2015 victim’s family filed a wrongful-death lawsuit alleging he tried to liquidate more than $8 million in property to dodge potential damages. Court records show Houck placed calls from jail urging relatives to sell homes, vehicles and equipment. The judge issued a temporary injunction and set an evidentiary hearing for October 8.
