Police working to identify gas station robber
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police have released surveillance video of a gas station robbery, hoping to get leads on the suspect.
Officers were called to the Marathon gas station 274 East New Circle Road on July 10 for a report of an armed robbery.
According to police, the clerk told officers a man entered the store, waited in line, then pulled out a gun and demanded money and cigarettes.
After taking cash from the register, the suspect took off in a vehicle.
Surveillance video shows the man was wearing a red head wrap, which he used to partially cover his face after entering the store. The suspect had a marking or tattoo on his left hand.
