Nicholasville Police, U.S. Marshals executing high-risk arrest warrant
UPDATE: According to the Nicholasville Police Department, the US Marshals office asked for assistance in apprehending a person with several warrants. It was determined, based on reports they received, that they would need the SWAT team to assist.
At 2:00 p.m., SWAT entered the house, but did not locate the suspect. At that time, the scene was cleared and roads in the neighborhood were reopened.
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Nicholasville Police and the U.S. Marshals Service are currently conducting a high-risk arrest operation at a residence on Shelby Way.
According to a statement posted by the Nicholasville Police Department, the arrest attempt is happening on Shelby Way. Authorities are asking residents in the area to remain cautious and stay indoors while the operation continues.
Officials are also requesting that people avoid traveling through the area so emergency vehicles and additional personnel can move in and out without interference.
The department says updates on the situation will be provided as the operation progresses.
