Escaped inmate captured again in Lexington after two previous escapes
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Kentucky inmate who managed to escape custody twice in recent months is back behind bars.
Kentucky State Police confirmed the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 43-year-old Jeffrey Harrison in Lexington on Tuesday.
According to investigators, Harrison most recently escaped earlier this month from the Estill County Courthouse. Before that, on May 30, he walked out of the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville by pretending to be his brother — who was scheduled to be released that day.
Harrison was caught and arrested for the jail escape in mid-June, but slipped away again weeks later before this latest capture.
Officials have not said what new charges he may face.
