BCTC launches Adult Educational Services in Woodford County

VERSAILLES, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Bluegrass Community and Technical College is expanding its reach to support adult learners with the launch of its new Adult Educational Services site in Woodford County.

The college marked the occasion Tuesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System office in Versailles.

David Sturgill, BCTC’s Regional Director of Adult Education, said the new location will help more adult learners build on the knowledge they already have to achieve academic and career goals.

“Most people are pretty apprehensive when they think about coming back to school as an adult,” Sturgill said. “But their life experience has really aided them in a lot of knowledge they might not even be aware of.”

BCTC’s Adult Education programs have been serving central Kentucky since 1998 and now include services in Anderson, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Scott, and Woodford counties.
