KSP releases names of officers involved in deadly Old Richmond Road shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police have released the names of the three Lexington Police officers involved in the July 13 officer-involved shooting at Richmond Road Baptist Church.

According to KSP, Sergeant Ross Collins, a 13-year veteran assigned to the Bureau of Investigation; Officer Kyle Blankenship, a 5-year veteran with the Bureau of Patrol; and Officer Simon Rankin, an 8-year veteran also with the Bureau of Patrol, all fired their weapons, striking the suspect, Guy House, who died at the scene.

KSP says all three officers have been placed on administrative leave per police department policy.
