Resurfacing project on Main Street in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Drivers in downtown Lexington should plan for lane closures and delays starting this weekend as resurfacing work gets underway.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, crews will begin milling and paving Main Street from Midland Avenue to Newtown Pike on Sunday, July 20.

The work is scheduled nightly, Sunday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., and is expected to cause lane closures and traffic delays in the area. Officials urge drivers to use caution and allow extra travel time.
