Distillery project pulled from Bourbon Co. golf course

PARIS, Ky. (WTVQ)- A developer has stopped a proposal to put a distillery, on land now used for Stoner Creek Golf Course.

Some neighbors were fighting the proposed zone change and filed a lawsuit.

The city says the investor group has withdrawn because of the legal challenge.

Mayor Mike Thornton says he thinks the proposed zone change is legal and that Paris will continue to push for economic development on that land.
