Update: Warrant Issued For Lexington Lawyer Accused Of Stealing Statues

Police want to find a Lexington lawyer who was supposed to be in court on Monday, but didn’t show up, according to court documents.

A warrant is now out for John Scott Benton, who is accused of having two stolen statues at his Lexington home on Price Road.

Police said the statues, with an estimated value of $50,000, were stolen from a Versailles Art Gallery.
