Winchester a Finalist for Hulu Series

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – The city of Winchester is a top 20 finalist to be featured on a popular Hulu series called the Small Business Revolution.

“Everyone is so excited,” says Anne Baldwin and Maureen Easterling with Court Street Gifts.

Rachel Alexander, Executive Director of Main Street Winchester, says she remembers finding out Winchester made the Small Business Revolution’s short list.

“I knew we had been nominated. But you nominate yourself and people nominate you for all kinds of things all the time and you usually just never hear anything else from it, so when I got the email, my jaw just dropped,” says Alexander.

The Hulu series brings money, business experts and attention to one town across America each season. A pretty good deal says Debbie Vaughan with Jako’s Boutique.

“I think it would be wonderful. All the businesses could benefit from it,” says Vaughan.

The top 10 finalists will be announced on Tuesday.
