Brooks Houck moved to Warren County ahead of trial

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Brooks Houck, the man accused in the disappearance and presumed death of Crystal Rogers, has been transferred to Warren County ahead of his high-profile trial set to begin next week.

Rogers vanished in 2015 in Bardstown. Despite her body never being found, prosecutors believe they have enough circumstantial evidence to prove Houck is responsible. The case has drawn national attention and is expected to be one of the most closely watched trials in the state this year.

Legal experts say prosecutors will rely heavily on phone records, witness testimony, and a timeline they say links Houck to Rogers’ disappearance.

Houck’s defense team is expected to challenge the credibility of the evidence, arguing the lack of a body and direct physical proof leaves too much room for doubt.

As testimony begins, more previously unreleased evidence could come to light.
