Lexington driver killed in solo crash on Boston Road identified

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Fayette County Coroner has identified the man killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Boston Road as 49-year-old Jonathan Thompson of Lexington.

According to police, the crash happened around 2:40 a.m. on June 17 in the 3600 block of Boston Road, near Dylan Place and Man o’ War Boulevard. Investigators say Thompson lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner says Thompson died from blunt force injuries.

No other vehicles were involved, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. A section of Boston Road was closed for several hours as authorities worked the scene.
