Mom to Mom – Vampire Facials
Sarah Pannell: Hey, moms. Sarah here with Mom to Mom. I’m back at Hourglass Lash and Skin Bar. I’ve got Beth Hourigan with us again.
Beth Hourigan: hello.
Sarah Pannell: I love this place.
Beth Hourigan: Oh, we love you.
Sarah Pannell: You always have something great going on.
Beth Hourigan: We love having you here.
Sarah Pannell: So, today we’re gonna be talking about the vampire facial.
Beth Yourigan: Yes.
Sarah Pannell: Which, everybody’s seen the photo of Kim Kardashian. This is something everybody Hollywood’s doing.
Beth Hourigan: Absolutely.
Sarah Pannell: And we got it right here in Lexington.
Beth Hourigan: We have it right here in Lexington.
Sarah Pannell: Yes, yay.
Beth Hourigan: So exciting.
Sarah Pannell: So, I’m super excited. I’m actually gonna get the facial done today.
Beth Hourigan: Yes, you are.
Sarah Pannell: So, walk me through what I can expect today.
Beth Hourigan: Okay. So, a vampire facial. The first thing that we do is we draw your blood, and we’ll take it in the back and spin it in our centrifuge, and we separate your blood from platelet rich plasma. And it’s this golden, beautiful platelet rich plasma that we use. And it’s gonna be our glide for our skin pin.
so, we use a micro needling device called a skin pin. We’ll put prp on your face, and we’ll create these tiny little tunnels that are inductions of collagen. They’ll be put through those tunnels with our skin pin. And it stimulates collagen production. It makes your skin nice and glowing. It makes your skin thicker. It gives you this very youthful look. And that’s pretty much it. We do the skin pin. We put the prp on you. We let it dry. We’ll clean you off before you leave, and you’re ready to go.
Sarah Pannell: Ready to go. That’s awesome.
Beth hourigan: It’s simple, virtually pain free. We do use a pain management system. So, not bloody, not painful, and it’s all organic.
Sarah Pannell: That sounds great.
Beth Hourigan: It’s you, and I think this is really where injectables and things of that nature are going.
Sarah Pannell: so, I just had my first vampire facial. My face is still a little bit numb. But as you can see, it was nothing like the celebrities show. It’s not bloody. There’s no down time, and it was practically pain free.
So, what I’m looking at as far as recovery is, like I said, there’s no downtime. You can go to lunch. You can go to dinner afterwards. You just make sure that you have no makeup on for the rest of the day. You stay out of the sun for a couple weeks. You use a gentle cleanser. And you might, on day three you might see a little bit of peeling or flaking, but that’s it.
So mom, to set up a free consultation, or to schedule your vampire facial go to http://hourglasslex.Com, and I’ll see y’all next week.
