Lexington police investigating Liberty Road shooting after woman shows up at out-of-county hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured over the weekend.

On Monday, police were notified that a female victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound had arrived at a hospital outside Fayette County. Investigators believe the shooting happened the night before — around 10:30 p.m. on June 15 — in the 1700 block of Liberty Road.

Detectives are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600.
