Kentucky murder suspect arrested in Montana

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Clark County has been arrested across the country in Montana.

According to police, 31-year-old Jesse Lewis was taken into custody Wednesday night on Mullan Road in Missoula, Montana, following a tip about his location. A shelter-in-place alert was issued for the area, and a SWAT team was called in to assist with the arrest.

Investigators say Lewis was last seen in Kentucky driving a stolen blue Toyota 4Runner. Clark County deputies issued warrants for his arrest after the body of Michael Walker was found last week in an apartment on Athens Boonesboro Road.

He remains in the Missoula County Jail.
