Two 18-year-olds arrested after high-speed chase leads to drug bust

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) A high-speed chase that started in Somerset early Monday led to the arrest of two 18-year-olds and the discovery of suspected meth and other drugs, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Kisean Cowan of Somerset fled a traffic stop just after midnight and was spotted speeding on Bourbon Road. The chase continued through multiple intersections before ending on Hwy 196 in Russell County.

Cowan and his passenger, Harlie Gibson of Monticello, were taken into custody after a K9 unit alerted to drugs in the vehicle. Deputies say they found suspected meth, marijuana, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia inside a magnetic box.

Cowan faces charges including fleeing police, trafficking meth and marijuana, DUI, and driving without a license. Gibson is charged with drug possession and public intoxication.

Both were booked into the Pulaski County Detention Center.
