ABC continues to provide first-class sports viewing for fans

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Sports fans can count on ABC36 News Now for the a wide variety of sports across the college and professional ranks in the coming years with continued and new offerings.

A Frenzy for Football Fans

For football fans, most of 2025’s Monday Night Football games and several college football conference championship games will be broadcast on ABC 36.

On Monday, September 29, the Cincinnati Bengals will face off against the Denver Broncos on ESPN and ABC 36 at 8:15 p.m.

Fans of the SEC, ACC, Big 12 and AAC can watch those conference’s football championships on ABC 36. The SEC Championship will be on Saturday, December 6 at 4 p.m.

Ratings for SEC Football are up over 50% from last year.

In 2027, ABC 36 is your destination for not only the College Football Championship game, but also the Super Bowl on February 14.

NBA basketball will be on ABC 36 with a 20 regular season games, including on Christmas Day, and 10 Playoff games. The NBA Finals will remain on ABC through 2036.

For the women’s game, ABC remains the primary partner with the league offering 13 games per season, the WNBA All-Star game annually and WNBA Finals every other year.

College Sports on the Offering

ABC has recently signed an eight-year extension with the NCAA to broadcast 40 different championships including the women’s basketball tournament and College World Series.
