Kentucky State Police investigating disturbing online activity
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police is investigating troubling online activity involving photos of women and children—some reportedly from law enforcement families—posted to a pornographic website.
Authorities say they are working to determine if any of the content includes child pornography or threats, both of which would constitute serious crimes.
While copying and reposting publicly available images is not itself illegal, officials say attaching threatening or harassing comments could lead to criminal charges. KSP is also warning the public against sharing unverified addresses or identities, emphasizing that doing so could endanger innocent people.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with credible information is encouraged to contact Kentucky State Police.
