Death investigation in Floyd County after house fire

ENDICOTT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A death investigation is underway in Floyd County after a body was discovered in a burned home.

Kentucky State Police say the call came in before 6 a.m. Friday about a house fire on Kentucky Route 3385.

First responders were told there may be someone inside the home.

Firefighters searched the structure and found a body inside.

The victim’s body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

State police say no foul play is suspected at this time.
