London Fire Department Autism Awareness Open House

LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The London Fire Department is inviting the community to a special Autism Awareness Open House on Wednesday evening.

The sensory-friendly event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the fire station on 911 Fire Rescue Drive. Families are encouraged to stop by, meet local firefighters, explore fire trucks up close, and learn about how first responders are working to better support individuals with autism during emergencies.

Officials say the goal is to build connection, increase awareness, and promote acceptance throughout the community.

The event is free and open to all.
