Bryan Station High School dean and coach charged in alleged road rage incident involving firearm

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A dean and coach at Bryan Station High School is facing a criminal charge after police say he pointed a gun at another driver during an alleged road rage incident.

John Bordas was arraigned Tuesday on a wanton endangerment charge stemming from an incident that reportedly occurred in February.

According to the police report, the victim told officers that Bordas followed him home after a traffic dispute and then pulled a firearm on him.

ABC 36 News Now contacted Fayette County Public Schools, which sent us the following statement from spokesperson Dia Davidson-Smith: “Fayette County Public Schools is aware of the situation; however, because the matters involved are personal and unrelated to Mr. Bordas’ duties with the district, FCPS will not be providing further comment at this time.”

Bordas is scheduled to return to court on May 22. No further details about the incident have been released.
