Lexington woman shot by two armed robbers

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-A Lexington woman was shot after two armed robbers try to enter her home.

According to police, two men knocked on the door to the woman’s home around 1:30 AM Sunday.

The woman answered the door and the two men demanded money.

After she slammed the door on the robbers, they fired several shots into the house with one round hitting her.

Family members say she is expected to recover from her injuries.
