LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Jockey Luis Saez is in stable condition after being unseated during Race 2 at Keeneland on Tuesday, according to a post from Keeneland Racing on social media.
Saez was evaluated by UK HealthCare Medical Services following the fall and has been ruled off his remaining mounts for the rest of the day.
Keeneland officials also confirmed that the horse involved in the incident, #9 Fateful Lighting, was not injured and safely returned to the barn.
