Listen to the “Country Soul” of Chelsea Nolan
Chelsea Nolan, born and raised in the hills of the Red River Gorge, grew up playing music. Songwriting became the next natural step for her, because, as she says, “Every song I write has some truth behind it.” Her songs help her, and she hopes to share that with others. “This is how I fix things for myself. And hopefully it helps other people fix their own stuff too.”
Several musicians influenced her: Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, John Prine, Goose Creek Symphony, and Bonnie Raitt. However, when you hear her sing, her voice is clearly influenced by the Boss.
On Midday, she performed for us through the show. If you want to get more information you can visit her Facebook page.
