First responders attacked while trying help a car accident victim
MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A father and daughter were arrested Saturday night in Madison County, accused of attacking the first responders who were trying to help their relative.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Gene Southworth’s wife was hurt in a car crash on Speedwell Road near Irvine Road.
Southworth reportedly pulled emergency workers away from the car, while his daughter Mindy St. Pierre reportedly jumped on a firefighter’s back.
Southworth refused to leave, and resisted arrest, officers tasered him before cuffing him.
Both face charges for disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental operations.
