Lexington Police search for suspect after North Broadway shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police are searching for a man who they say shot a man, unprovoked, early Thursday morning in Lexington.

Police say the victim was walking on North Broadway and Fairlawn when a man walked up to him, pointed a gun at him, then shot him in the leg.

They say the victim then walked to 12th Street where he called police.

The victim was taken to the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.

Police could not say if this was an attempted robbery or drug-related.

Police are still searching for that suspect.
