Lexington Cemetery offers public viewing of Confederate Statues
This morning, the public will be able to view the statues of John Hunt Morgan and John Breckinridge at Lexington Cemetery.
These statues were originally located at the old Fayette County Courthouse.
The Board of the Lexington Cemetery agreed to place these statues in a private facility until the agreement was finalized.
According to the City, private money and donations were used to relocate these statues.
Breckinridge was Vice-President of the United States and Confederate Secretary of War.
Morgan was a Confederate General.
Both Morgan and Breckinridge are buried at Lexington Cemetery.
The cemetery opens at eight to the public to see these statues.
