Apartment fire on North Mt. Tabor Road displaces seven people
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Seven people are displaced after an apartment fire Tuesday morning on North Mt. Tabor Road, according to the Lexington Fire Department.
Firefighters responded around 7:47 a.m. to the 100 block of North Mt. Tabor Road after reports of a structure fire. Crews arrived to find smoke showing from the building and upgraded it to a working fire.
According to investigators, the fire began on the second floor and was contained to the apartment where it started. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials say seven residents displaced by the fire will be staying with friends and family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
