KSP investigates fatal accident in Pike County

Kentucky State Police have identified the victim as 69-year-old Betty Jo Blankenship, of Majestic.

RANSOM, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say one person was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Pike County Thursday.

Troopers responded to Kentucky 319 around 6 p.m.

They say it was determined a driver lost control, hit an embankment then overturned into a ditch.

The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to State Police.

The name of the victim has not been released.
