Woman Charged For Head-On Crash In Lexington
A woman was charged Wednesday for a head-on crash back in August that left another woman critically injured.
According to court documents, Ernestine Cooper, 57, was drunk when her car swerved into the center line on Winchester Road on August 17th and slammed head-on into another car.
The driver of that car was rushed to the University of Kentucky hospital with several injuries.
According to police, Cooper admitted to drinking before the accident but said she only had one drink.
Police said Cooper’s blood alcohol was over twice the legal limit.
She is charged with assault and driving under the influence.
