Madison County man charged with rape, sodomy after alleged assault of intoxicated victim
MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – A Madison County man has been arrested and charged with multiple sex-related felonies, according to a complaint warrant issued by the Madison County District Court.
Ryan Worrix is facing charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, and first-degree sexual abuse, according to the warrant. The document states that the alleged incident took place on January 30, 2025, after Worrix met an adult female victim for drinks at a local establishment.
According to the affidavit filed by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, the victim consumed alcohol and some of Worrix’s vape before she began to feel severely intoxicated. Authorities say Worrix then drove the victim to his home on Clay Lyn Drive. The warrant states that the victim does not remember how she entered the home or how her clothes were removed. When she regained awareness, she realized Worrix had engaged in sexual acts with her while she was physically helpless.
The court document alleges that Worrix committed first-degree rape and sodomy, as well as sexual abuse by fondling the victim.
Worrix was arrested and taken to the Madison County Detention Center. The court set his bail at $100,000, with the condition that he is to have no contact with the victim.
The case remains under investigation.
