Softball Tournament Fundraiser for Suicide Awareness

This event is the First Annual Slow Pitch Tournament in honor of Shanece Sullivan. Shanece was an 18 years old Freshman in college when she ended her life in her dorm at Western Kentucky University. Shance was a straight A’s outgoing and very friendly person. She was there for anyone who needed her whether it was a helping hand or just someone to talk to. No one seen this coming or did anyone have any signs. Suicide is something people dont talk about or take seriously. You never really do until it becomes your reality when you lose a family member or friend to suicide. Thats how this event came about.

Shaneces close friends and our family have came together and decided that we need to bring awareness to this cause. We want people to know that your not alone and your not the only one who may be suffering from depression. Reach out and talk to someone. We are putting together this event for the community to come out and support this cause. Shanece loved softball and enjoyed playing.

There have been boys and girls teams put together for the slow pitch games that will be going on starting at 8 a.m at Robert Campbell Junior High in Winchester,Ky. There will be a concession stand open throughout the games. We will have hotdogs, chilli, chips, nachos, drinks ect available for purchase. We will be selling raffle tickets for $2 for the raffles baskets we will raffle off. There will be 2 vendors A&G Gems and TSExpress will be on site. Also there will be a $2 entrance fee for the games. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
